Vanadium recovery from steel converter slag utilised as an oxygen carrier in oxygen carrier aided combustion (OCAC)

This study investigates vanadium extraction from steel converter slag the LD (Linz-Donawitz) process. has been used as an active bed material in a biomass boiler combustion technique called oxygen carrier aided (OCAC). usage could be compared to roasting step common roasting-leaching method for extraction. Leaching of prior use is undesirable materials OCAC are removed. successfully leached following Two methods leaching were utilised compare against traditional extraction; continuous flow procedure and microwave-assisted procedure. It was found that efficiency 22.1% achieved using 5 M sulphuric acid solution 30 min water followed by leaching. Using further optimising conditions, final 49.1% with 4 particle size within range 44–74 μm.
